“You Decide” templates and illustrations

KQED Public Broadcasting contracted 1is1 to design and illustrate the premiere installments of You Decide, a monthly “devil’s advocate“ Web activity. The logo and yes/no buttons suggest the integration of dualities, while the page template easily accommodates changing content. The illustrations — for segments on human cloning, slavery reparations, vegetarianism, Saddam Hussein and video game violence — echo the written arguments through creative use of stock and public-domain images.

Webby nominee and winner of the Grand Prize in the 2004 Batten Awards for Innovations in Journalism.
